Grant Meyer
Grant has always been a tradesman. He graduated from SAIT in 2003 as Journeyman Painter and Decorator. Spending many years working in commercial painting and various custom high-end residential projects in the Calgary area. In 2007, looking for a change and to make a difference, Grant started working as a Radio Operator for the Canadian Army as a reservist. This adventure took him across Canada and instilled a work ethic he possesses to this day.
In 2008, expanding on his skills, he began working for an elevator interior company. Grant started his career in the elevator industry as a crew helper. Working his way up, he was quickly promoted to crew leader, service technician, and shop manager. Being a part of many key projects around Western Canada such as the Bow Tower, Eight Avenue Place, Brookfield Place, Manulife, Telus Sky, Sask Power, Vancouver House, and Stantec Tower allowed Grant to perfect his skills.
Grant has honed many skills over his time in the industry including TIG/MIG welding, refinishing stainless steel, shearing, bending steel, mounting glass and stone, teaching, and managing crews.
Grant wanted to do more and decided to branch out and form his own company. Along with Brad, Middlemiss-Meyer Elevator systems is Grant's way of ensuring that he continues to deliver quality products and services.
